In the previous post entitled New Perspectives on Life – Human History I explored the idea that our history is much older than we’ve been taught to believe. Now I’m going to focus on the idea that our reality is much different than we’ve been taught to believe.
But boy oh boy, I’ve been having a hard time writing this! In order to understand reality I figured I would explore the science explaining our reality and I’m getting tripped up. Not only is the history of science complicated but so is the science itself and I’m not going to even pretend to know what I’m talking about most of the time.
I’ve since realized it isn’t so much the science that I wanted to talk about, it’s more what the science is telling us that I most want to share. So instead of going down the scientific rabbit hole I’m going share a few thought leaders that have really been able to make the nature of reality make sense for me and you can research them further if you’d like to. Then I’ll highlight the important concept that I feel more people need to know about.
The first person that stands out as helping me to get a new perspective on reality is Gregg Braden. If you haven’t heard of Gregg before here’s his bio from his website: Gregg Braden is a five-time New York Times best-selling author, scientist, international educator and renowned as a pioneer in the emerging paradigm based in science, spirituality, social policy and human potential.
I love his work as it’s accessible to me, he has a spiritual angle to things, and he covers a lot of ground including new perspectives on our human origin, the workings of our present reality, and our ability to influence this reality – past, present, and future.
I grew up thinking that I am matter. That I’m separate from everything else in my reality. That the world happens to us and does so by chance. But after following Gregg’s work over the years I’ve learned otherwise. In his book, “The Divine Matrix”, he speaks of how we live in a universal field where we are energy, where everything is connected, and that we are active participants in the universe. Gregg says that:
We’re creators – and even more than that, we’re connected creators.
Nassim Haramein takes this further and says:
Every single person plays such an important role in the universe. Some people talk about, these days, how we create our own reality. But that’s half of the equation. I believe that the universe is feeding us reality as well back from compiling all the other realities or the other interpretation of everybody else as well so that we creating our reality and reality is creating us. So there’s a feedback in the structure of space in such a way that every point in space in an infinite fractal universe, every point being the center, every point observes the universe from it own center, from it’s own very specific perspective and every one of those perspectives is critical.
Per his website, Nassim has spent over 30 years researching and discovering connections in physics, mathematics, geometry, cosmology, quantum mechanics, biology, and chemistry as well as anthropology and archaeology. I love listening to him speak. He’s always excited about his work, deeply intelligent, and he connects the spiritual with the scientific which is beautiful.
So the takeaway is we are active creators in our reality and it’s not just a quaint New Age sentiment. It’s science. This is what is so important for people to realize – they have to know that we are participants in and influencers of the world we live in.
But even though I get this I still don’t fully step into my power as a creator being conscious of this 24/7 and I don’t know why. Perhaps it’s because I have a skeptical side to me that doesn’t quite believe how powerful I can be, how we all can be.
I also know that this sentiment pisses some people off. Because if they are living a crap life they don’t exactly want to take responsibility for it.
But just imagine what would be possible if more of us started taking this seriously. If we all started to expand our consciousness and really accept that we participate in the creation our personal and collective realities.
Knowing that we create our reality is one thing. Exploring how we can do this is another and I will cover that in my next post so this is to be continued.
And please share this info with anyone you think would benefit from it. It’s time for us all to step into our power to start to make some changes in our lives and the world. Big ones.
